The 12-kilometre journey to Eiffel Lake begins near the beach of the stunning Moraine Lake and offers breathtaking views of the high ranges and an alpine lake.
You will pass the Moraine Lake Lodge on your way to the start of Larch Valley for the initial portion of the hike. You will ascend in elevation via switchbacks until you reach Larch Valley’s lower reaches.
From here, you can join the trail that leads to Eiffel Lake, traversing a forest of enormous trees. You’ll get stunning views of the blue Moraine Lake, mountain peaks, and even a glacier when you reach the end of the woods.
The enchanted hike gives you the impression that you are right by the majestic Ten Peaks that surround Moraine Lake.
The ideal summer hike is found along Moraine Lake Road, which often opens in June. You will be able to observe the breathtaking golden larches if you decide to take on the challenge in September.
Since you can no longer access Moraine Lake with a personal vehicle beginning in 2023, you’ll need to reserve a Parks Canada shuttle, Roam Public Transit, or a commercial bus if you wish to hike the Eiffel Lake trek.
