The views are magnificent, so if you’re not afraid of heights, you should definitely add this experience to your bucket list for Ontario!

Did you know that Ontario is home to Canada’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge, which allows users to cross a sizable canyon while seeing a gorgeous lake below?

Located 45 minutes east of Thunder Bay, Eagle Canyon Adventures is a popular tourist destination with two suspension footbridges, a zipline, and a number of hiking paths.

The longest foot suspension bridge in Canada spans a canyon for 600 feet and hangs 152 feet above the ground.

For those who are concerned about being too far from the earth, the smaller one, which is 300 feet across and 125 feet above the canyon, can be a great alternative.

The company’s website encourages visitors to “cross the suspension bridges for an unforgettable thrill and witness for yourself the majestic beauty of the unique surroundings.”

People can see the “spring-fed lake” and breathe in the clean air at the bottom of the canyon.

Adventurers can descend the stairs and explore the “numerous wilderness trails” once they have crossed the canyon and their adrenaline rush has subsided.

Although there is a zipline at the adventure park, “the zipline will not be operating this 2023 season due to circumstances beyond our control.” Though it hasn’t been since before COVID, they are “hoping the zip line is back open this year.”

Additionally record-breaking, the zipline is excellent for thrill-seekers.

According to Eagle Canyon Adventures, “if hanging suspended at 150 feet is not thrilling enough, take a zip ride on Canada’s longest, highest, and fastest zipline.” Zip down the center of the canyon for an amazing 60-second thrill ride at a length of half a mile, a height of 175 feet, and speeds exceeding 45 mph.

The suspension bridge is scheduled to open on May 15, according to the business, so bear that in mind when you make travel arrangements. But if the snow hasn’t already melted by then, be sure to check for updates before leaving.
