Christchurch is the biggest city lying on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand. Besides Auckland, it’s another biggest metropolia by urban region population.

Christchurch is internationally famous as “The Garden City”. It’s because the city has well-established public gardens and vast parks that owe much to the foresight and planning of the city’s founding originators.

In fact, the Christchurch center doesn’t have much to offer. It becomes more fascinating when you get to its suburbs. The wide roads and bungalows make a completely distinct ambiance.

Christchurch Weather

In fact, the weather in Christchurch is dryer than in other New Zealand cities. The climate is relatively settled and pleasant year-round, meanwhile, winter evenings can be freezing. But surprisingly, the daytime during winter is sunny. As a result, it’s easy to get outside in this period to make the most of the stunning wintry landscapes.

Undoubtedly, winter is the best time to visit Christchurch. Another ideal season is autumn as the weather is quite calm.
