Lucy Maud Montgomery was born in 1874  in PEI. She grew up with her grandparents in the small town of Cavendish. This historic spot has replica versions of the author’s wedding dress, private scrapbooks, documents of her poems and novels, etc.

Lucy Maud spent the better parts of her life in Ontario. However, after passed away in 1942, she was brought back to her homeland, Cavendish.

Sometimes, travelers will drop by to show their respects. She is now buried in Cavendish Cemetery.
