Family Fest on New Year’s Eve in Stony Plain at Heritage Park
Every year on New Year’s Eve, Stony Plain residents eagerly anticipate the Family Fest at the sizable Heritage Park, where kids may take part in a variety of outdoor activities like a DJ, ice skating, horse-drawn wagon rides, and face painting.
The campfire offers a great setting for enjoying warm apple cider and popcorn before the sky is lit up with fireworks at 9:00 p.m. to bring in the new year. Although there is no charge for the event, donations to the food bank are encouraged.
Broadmoor Lake Park Strathcona County New Year’s Eve Festival
On December 31, at 8:00 p.m., join families from all across the city for Strathcona County’s annual New Year’s Eve Festival. The fun-filled activities at this free and family-friendly event include live music, delectable hot chocolate, and other delicacies. For kids who can’t stay up until midnight, a fireworks display at 8:00 pm is ideal. Don your warmest attire and join the excitement at Broadmoor Lake Park.
Family Beach Ball on New Year’s Eve at the World Waterpark
This New Year’s Eve, West Edmonton Mall is hosting the ultimate beach party, and everyone is invited. The World Waterpark is North America’s second-largest waterpark. It also offers Edmontonians the chance to escape the winter and ring in the new year with a tropical celebration at the New Year’s Eve Family Beach Ball.
Guests will also be treated to an unlimited buffet, a DJ, a caricaturist, and a spectacular inside fireworks show. It will start at 6:00 pm and last until midnight. A single ticket is $84; for a family of four, it is $300.

The International New Year’s Eve Gala in Edmonton
Come to one of the city’s most anticipated New Year’s Eve celebrations, the Edmonton International New Year’s Eve Gala. It is to benefit the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and ring in 2023 in style. It is simply January’s most prominent night out, held yearly at the Fantasyland Hotel in West Edmonton Mall.
The Edmonton Journal referred to the gala this year as “the main event to be seen at,” and it promises to be a magnificent evening. The event will feature a fine dining supper, dancing, a silent auction, and a special performance by former Cirque du Soleil performers.
The Fantasyland Hotel’s magnificent ballroom will host this kid- and family-friendly event on December 31 from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation is supported through the sale of tickets, which start at $175.
NYE Fire and Ice Party
At JW Marriott’s inaugural Fire and ICE New Year Celebration, ring in 2023 with style! This extremely elite event features a sumptuous New Year’s Eve meal, a special performance by the Sangea Academy Drummers, and a jaw-dropping exhibition of aerial acrobatics by Firefly Circus Entertainment.
It is held in Edmonton’s premium Wayne Gretzky ballroom overlooking ICE District Plaza. A welcome cocktail and champagne toast are included in the $189 per person price of the tickets.
