Day trip from Amsterdam to Giethoorn with amazing things to do!

Giethoorn village in the Netherlands is a beautiful and wonderful place to visit if you’re looking for a beautiful and magical place. This quaint village is well-known for its picturesque canals and bridges, and it’s no surprise that it’s a favorite tourist attraction!

“Giethoorn village” is the part of our hamlet that most (foreign) tourists will see when they come to see us. This section of our village has hand-dug canals and small islands linked to the mainland by 176 bridges. In reality, these islands have buildings (farmhouses) from the 18th and 19th centuries. The ‘Binnenpad’ walking/cycling trail runs right through this region. Tourist stores and restaurants (which are plenty) are located among traditional Dutch dwellings with thatched roofs.

The center of Giethoorn village is devoid of roadways. Naturally, no roads mean no automobiles. Visitors and inhabitants of Giethoorn village must park their cars outside the village in designated parking lots. Our village’s commercial hub is located in this car-free zone. You can rent whisper boats, have a guided tour, or visit a museum here, in addition to numerous restaurants and cafes. The ‘Binnenpad,’ a cycling/footpath, is like strolling onto a movie set.
