There’s nothing like the charm of a tiny town, and these Alberta towns have it all thanks to the hustle and bustle. You’ll be ready to pack and move after visiting these lovely cafes, stores, and pubs.

The High River
High River is only 30 minutes from Calgary, yet walking around its streets seems like entering a movie set. It’s genuinely picture-perfect. You can go to Maggie’s Diner from the program Heartland or one of the town’s many museums.
Jasper – Best Towns in Alberta
Jasper will always be a must-see destination in Alberta. In addition to the beautiful lakes and mountains nearby, Miette Hot Springs offers relaxation. There’s also a gondola that will take you to the summit of Whistler Mountain for panoramic views of the resort.
Pincher Creek is the place to be if you enjoy the western atmosphere. It is located where the mountains meet the plains, and you can even visit a genuine pioneer village complete with houses, churches, and businesses. There are also other excellent hikes in the vicinity.
Canmore – Pretty Towns in Alberta
Canmore is only about an hour’s drive from Calgary, yet it feels a million miles away. You get amazing views of the famed Three Sisters mountains right in the Rockies, and you can rest and breathe in the fresh air. The village is filled with adorable boutiques, cafes, and bars.
No list of vacations would be complete without mentioning Banff. This renowned town is teeming with busy restaurants, bars, and stores smack dab in the middle of the Rockies. Banff has it all, whether you want to go trekking or relax and enjoy the scenery.
While Banff and Jasper are unquestionably Alberta’s most popular destinations, Waterton is less crowded and equally gorgeous. The town appears to have been plucked straight from Europe, particularly the famed Prince of Wales hotel. Hikers should visit the Bear’s Hump trek, which offers breathtaking views of the town and Waterton National Park.
Visiting Nanton is like taking a trip back in time. The town includes a lot of fascinating museums to visit, such as the Grain Elevator Discovery Center. If you’re feeling daring, you can even attend the Nanton Nite Rodeo.
The River of Peace
Peace River is a breathtakingly gorgeous area of the province. Whether you take a sunset stroll to the Sagitawa Lookout for spectacular town views or enjoy a beer at the brewery, you’ll have a terrific time.

The Turner Valley is less than an hour from Calgary and offers breathtaking views of Alberta’s foothills. Visit the Eau Claire Winery for some colorful cocktails or the spectacular Sheep River Falls.
