Keep Arnhem in mind for a visit if you find yourself in the Netherlands this year and have time to travel to the east of the country. I’ll list five justifications for visiting this city in the Netherlands in this essay.

1. The terraces close to the Rhine offer comfortable seating.

‘De Rijnkade’, another name for the Rhine quay, is a popular destination in the spring and summer. At the Rhine waterfront, there are numerous cafes, eateries, and terraces with lovely views of the Rhine. It’s a spot where you can relax while enjoying a delicious drink and a snack just outside the city core. Of course, the city’s central Jansplein and Korenmarkt are fantastic locations to spend an afternoon on a terrace.

2. There are numerous options for shopping.

You are in the ideal location in Arnhem to spend a day shopping! There are numerous local boutiques and other speciality businesses in addition to the city’s major multinational retailers. The major Vijzelstraat Street is undoubtedly the most well-liked shopping area.

Even more, stores can be found on other side streets. You must exit the train at Arnhem Central if you intend to travel to Arnhem by train. The city centre is merely a five-minute walk away from there.

‘Modekwartier’, a more artistic neighbourhood in Arnhem, is situated in Klarendal, a bit outside the city centre. Many designers have offices here. The most recent styles and designs from the designer are available in their stores. Every designer has a unique story to tell in the Modekwartier. Shopping at the Modekwartier is unique and appealing because of this.

3. You can stroll for a while in Sonsbeek Park.

Sonsbeek Park is located on the opposite side of Arnhem’s main station. It is the largest and most well-known park in Arnhem. You can relax and have a lovely picnic at one of the numerous grass fields near the lake, or you can take a pleasant stroll around the park and woodland. There are several sights and activities. This park hosts numerous outdoor concerts and cultural celebrations.

4. For a night out, the Korenmarkt is the greatest location.

Having a night out planned? So you’re also in Arnhem, where you need to be. The most well-known location for a night out is the Korenmarkt. There are bars and cafes all around this square where you may enjoy a drink and dance. The best days to visit are Thursday and Saturday because there will be the most people there on those days.

While each pub plays different music, they are all a lot of fun. You just have to figure out which one suits you the most. Typically, the evening begins about 11 p.m. and concludes around 5 a.m.

5. Visit the city’s zoo and outdoor museum, both of which are enjoyable.

Let’s begin by talking about the zoo. It is known as Burgers’ Zoo and features a wide variety of animals. Just outside of Arnhem’s city centre is the zoo. The zoo is open every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the summer. The zoo is open every day, including on holidays!

Het Openluchtmuseum, an outdoor museum that showcases Dutch history through real-life stories, items, and buildings, is another must-see while in Arnhem. There are several activities and sights to view. Children and grownups both enjoy the park a lot!
