The real Christmas tree lighting event for the City of Vancouver is normally held between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. at Robson Square. However, it occasionally occurs at the North Plaza on the other side of the Vancouver Art Gallery. Don’t worry about not knowing where to buy Christmas Tree Vancouver! In 2022, the activities begin at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd. This year’s event will take place outside the Vancouver Art Gallery. Here are some of the best places in Metro Vancouver to buy a live Christmas tree this year, ranging from u-cut tree farms to local tree delivery.

Do you want to go full Clark Griswold this year? This Langley tree farm provides a U-cut tree program, which means you get to labor for your tree, which everyone knows makes it look even nicer in your house.

The farm will open for the season on Friday, December 2nd, and will be open from 9am to 3:30 p.m. from Friday to Sunday.

This isn’t the only Metro Van stop that sells pre-cut Christmas trees this season! This season, Frosty’s Family Tree Farm will provide both u-cut and fresh-cut trees, which is fantastic if you arrive and realize that sawing down a tree by yourself isn’t the greatest use of your time.

From 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., U-cut and fresh-cut alternatives will be available.

When: Saturday, November 26th, at 10 a.m.

Evergrow Christmas Trees

Lastly, we have the most intriguing (and environmentally conscious) choice on this list. Evergrow not only delivers a tree to your house, but it is wrapped so that it will survive the holidays. When those are finished, someone will pick up the tree so it may be replanted! More expensive than a u-cut tree, but well worth it.

While this one is a bit of a journey, it is well worth it. Murphy’s provides tourists with a variety of u-pick trees, beautiful wreaths, and photographs with Santa. Oh, and hot chocolate, coffee, and fresh cider produced from their orchard’s apples!

Check out this Richmond farm for something even closer to home. They’re making the Christmas tree hunt a full-fledged event, replete with a fire pit, hot cider, and Christmas songs as background music. Here, there are two locations: one for fresh-cut and one for u-cut.

Please remember that the u-cut farm will only be open on weekends.

When: The retail lot opens on Thursday, November 17th, and the u-cut opens on Saturday, November 26th.
