Another thing you shouldn’t miss doing in Kelowna during the summer is getting on a boat and sailing out onto the stunning and enormous Okanagan Lake. This lake measures 135 kilometers in length, 5 km in width, and 230 meters in depth. Due to the numerous glaciations that carved out this lake, it is actually referred to as a fjord lake. The greatest way to appreciate the lake is to be out on the water, though you may also spend time on beaches, view them from the shore, or even soar over them in a helicopter.

In essence, you’re strapped to a board that shoots you into the air using water pressure under the direction of a SeaDoo! This is a pretty enjoyable activity to attempt if you don’t mind a little bit of a rush and don’t mind getting thrown into the lake.
