Cherry blossoms are among the most beautiful sights to see in Ontario in the spring. A lovely day trip can be had by attending the pink bloom festival, which is taking place close to Toronto.
The Sakura Festival in Burlington offers a variety of activities as well as breathtaking views of spring flowers. It will only be available on May 13, 2023, for one day. Prepare for “an afternoon of Japanese music, dancing, and martial arts demonstrations”—entrance is free.
The Burlington Mundialization Committee is organizing the event in honor of Burlington’s Japanese twin city, Itabashi.
The festival will feature a variety of events, such as a Koto performance, a karate demonstration, and a Do Kon Daiko performance of Japanese drumming.
You can also participate in the Taste of Japan celebration, which takes place downtown Burlington from May 13 to May 31 and showcases Japanese eateries. With the prix-fixe menu, you may splurge on delectable Japanese cuisine.
The cherry blossom trees themselves are one of the festival’s centerpieces. A magnificent exhibition may be found in Spencer Smith Park.
In the park, there are about 40 cherry blossom trees, and you may stroll along a lovely walk surrounded by these pink blossoms. While strolling through a flowery paradise, you may enjoy views of the lake from the trail, which overlooks the lake.
Kariya Park in Mississauga is a good place to go if you’re looking for additional cherry blossom viewing locations this spring. There are numerous blooms and decorations with a Japanese theme in the region.
