3. Downtown Jasper is Pyramid Lake

Pyramid Lake is in contrast to many of the Banff lakes, which can seem like a hike to get to from town. Therefore, even if you just have 30 minutes to spend while in Jasper, you may still visit Pyramid Lake and enjoy its splendor.

Pyramid Island is connected to the mainland by a lovely bridge, which is not only lovely to walk across but also one of the best places in Jasper to take pictures. Mount Edith Cavell and the Jasper Skytram are clearly visible from the bridge.

Pyramid Mountain is clearly seen while entering Pyramid Island from the mainland since it is perpendicular to the island. There are just five parking spaces available on the street, but we’ve never had trouble finding one in the winter or the summer.

In the Canadian Rockies, it is challenging to locate lakes that are warm enough for prolonged swimming. Pyramid Lake’s cool water is readily accessible on a hot summer day.

6. Pyramid Lake has ice skating rinks during the winter

I’ve been blogging a lot about the summer in Jasper, but the winter there is just as spectacular. In the winter, Pyramid Lake totally freezes over, and by the end of December, it has transformed into a winter paradise. Ice skating on the lake, snowshoe trips, fat biking, and even horse-drawn carriage rides are all available at Pyramid Lake Resort.
