There are so many lovely tiny villages to explore in Ontario now that spring has arrived. You can don your sun hat, get an iced coffee, and stroll through the charming streets while soaking up the sun. There is so much to see and do in these small communities, from lilac festivals to cherry blossom festivals.
1. Niagara-on-the-Lake
This medieval town is lovely all year round, but spring is its most alluring season. There is a ton to do, and the streets are lined with tulips and flowers. You can take a bike tour of a winery, see cherry blossoms nearby, and more.
2. Port Hope
This quaint small hamlet, which is situated along the Ganaraska River, comes to life in the spring. You can take a stroll along lovely pathways, take in a farmers’ market, and explore the old buildings.
3. Dundas
It’s a beautiful location to visit in the spring in this quaint village just outside of Toronto. There are various waterfalls nearby, so you may arrange some walks.
4. Prince Edward County
This scenic city, which is near Lake Ontario, is home to beaches, vineyards, and other attractions. There are other little villages nearby that you may explore, and in the spring you can go on waterfall tours and hike along lilac-lined paths.
5. Stratford
When you go here, you’ll think you’re in Europe. The town is well-known for the Stratford Festival, which debuts in April and features a number of plays. While in the area, you can also visit charming shops and lovely gardens.
6. Bayfield
In this charming community, you may live your best Gilmore Girls existence. The neighborhood has a number of beaches, as well as adorable stores, and a street straight out of a fairytale.
7. Warkworth
Due to its romantic Lilac Festival, this little town is worthwhile for a day trip this spring. Every year in May, the celebration features a huge number of fragrant blooms.
