Vivid Sydney 2022 – Australia’s most splendid light festival is coming back

Vivid Sydney 2022 is an annual festival of lights in Australia, igniting vibrant beats and souls with unique creative artworks over 23 days and nights.

After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s winter festival of lights, music, and ideas is designed and expected to “regenerate” and revitalize the city center. Sydney.

NSW Tourism Minister Stuart Ayres said the event would bring life and joy to the city. According to him, this year’s Vivid Sydney Festival of Lights will be the biggest and brightest, with the “firsts” of the festive season and providing more reasons to attend this special event for people. People will be immersed in 23 nights of mesmerizing art shows, 3D light works, uplifting live music performances, and in-depth discussions from the world’s greatest minds. Parallel to that is the first Light Walk connecting 47 works of art, stretching from the Sydney Opera House to Central Station.

Festival director Gill Minervini said Vivid Sydney 2022 would tell a compelling story about the city’s soul.

This free and epic winter festival will provide a much-needed economic and social boost to the city, said Ayres.

1, For Sydney With Love:

Location: Customs House, Circular Quay

2, Convergence:

Location: The Goods Line Tunnel

Plot: Laser light artwork in an abandoned railway tunnel.

3, Future Natives ( Vivid Sydney 2022 )

Location: Throughout the Light Walk
Author: Chris Daniel
Synopsis: Neon birds along the Light Walk.

4, Earth Deities:

Location: Hickson Road Reserve
Author: Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran
Synopsis: A monumental sculpture that shines with light and animation.
