It’s almost beach season, so if you’re wondering where to swim in Ontario this summer, consider making a vacation to one of these stunning swimming holes. These idyllic swimming holes range from limestone quarries to hidden waterfall pools. Planning your summer day trip now is a good idea because certain destinations require reservations.
1. Topaz Lake
This “sapphire blue” swimming hole, which is bordered by white cliffs in Killarney Provincial Park, is a stunning area to swim. You must hike for 11 kilometers to get to this undiscovered treasure, which is located along the La Cloche Silhouette Trail.
2. Bathtub Island
The name of this distinctive island comes from the central basin-shaped pit. It is filled with water, allowing you to spend the day floating around as if you were in a large bathtub. You can park in Katherine Cove’s day-use parking and take the Lake Superior Coastal Path for about a half-kilometer to get to this magnificent island.
3. Elora Quarry
Due to its stunning turquoise water and nearby limestone cliffs, the Elora Quarry is a well-liked location for summer swimming. If you intend to visit, timed tickets must be purchased in advance.
4. Bridal Veil Falls
