These celebrations range from large-scale activities in different sections of the city to free performances in smaller communities that you are welcome to visit and drive or stroll through. South Bank, Brisbane


With City Beach, markets, a ton of events, and a ton of bars and restaurants to choose from, South Bank is always a popular destination. Wandering around this region at this time of year is even more spectacular because the Christmas lights are also visible. Additionally, you may take part in outdoor Christmas movies, community choirs and singers, storytelling, Santa photo opportunities, and cooling down in the water at City Beach.

West Brisbane


Take a drive to Everard Street in Westlake or Hawke Place in Sinnamon Park if you reside in or near Westlake or Sinnamon Park. Both have previously won awards for Christmas lights, and this year is no different. They take pride in having a fantastic Christmas light show, and you will be astounded by the displays they have put up.



It is absolutely worthwhile to visit Tipperary Court in Capalaba and Polperro Court in Alexandra Hills. Christmas has arrived, so visit their lights to get into the holiday spirit. Redland Bay, particularly Huntly Place and Dory Place, which both have many lit-up houses and a festive ambiance, are other worthwhile stops. Don’t forget about Woodcrest Close too, which even has a snow machine running.
