Floriade Festival Canberra Dates For 2022
From Saturday, 17 September – Sunday, 16 October, Floriade is open every day from 9 am – 5.30 pm. The closing time each afternoon is 5.15 pm.
When To Visit Floriade Festival 2022 In Canberra
Depending on what you want to gain out of the festival, this may or may not be the case. We advise visiting Floriade early in the festival to catch the flowers in their best light if you want to take some amazing shots of them.
However, if you want to avoid crowds, the afternoon is much better because the morning throng starts to thin out. Additionally, going on a weekday is a fantastic option. The festival’s initial and last weeks are typically the least crowded; however, it’s important to keep in mind that by the festival’s last days, the flowers might not be at their peak.
What To Bring
Wear walking shoes, bring a camera, a reusable water bottle (there are water refill stations scattered throughout the grounds), sunscreen, and a hat and sunglasses.
Getting There
Located off Commonwealth Avenue on Regatta Place, the main festival gate.
When visiting Floriade, think about leaving your car at home and instead using public transportation because parking is restricted and festival traffic will make it more difficult to approach and exit festival parking.
Bus stops are located on both sides of Commonwealth Avenue, directly across from Regatta Place, which is close to the festival’s entrance.
