Big cats are not known for being friendly creatures, but these charming photos show how a couple of newborn cubs at a Japanese zoo have become the best of friends.
The latest arrivals, a lion cub and a tiger cub, are seen hugging and wrestling like siblings.
They appear utterly unaware of their differences as they nap side by side.
And it appears that their instincts haven’t kicked in yet, since they’ve been photographed snuggling up to rabbits.
The animals are photographed at African Safari in Oita prefecture in Japan’s south, where they were born earlier this year.
The zoo’s staff has been tweeting pictures of the small cubs, and hundreds of people have swooned over them.
