Rotterdam Zoo is a personal favorite of mine because I live close by and have visited it several times.
I may be biased, but I believe it is one of Europe’s most beautiful zoos. Others are likely to agree with me, given that it has been nominated for numerous awards!
It has beautiful scenery and a fantastic playpark for kids (if seeing all the animals hasn’t exhausted them yet). It features a large aquarium, a butterfly garden, and animals from around the world. The zoo is so large that you may struggle to see everything during its opening hours.
Burgers’ Zoo Arnhem
Burgers’ Zoo in Arnhem is a fantastic zoo located outside of Holland. It has a diverse range of species ranging from desert to ocean habitats. Even a mangrove forest exists!
There are several great things to do at the zoo, including five different restaurants. The animals here live in their natural habitats, which distinguishes them from other zoos.
In this sense, they are free to roam around rather than being confined to cages or small enclosures. It’s unquestionably more ethical, and it’s a unique experience to witness.
Wildlands Adventure Zoo Emmen In The Netherlands
This is the place to go if you want more than just a regular zoo. Wildlands Adventure Zoo is exactly what its name implies: a zoo, but a very adventurous kind of zoo.
