This trek takes place in Tofino, a gorgeous tiny town in British Columbia that is the place to be in the summer if you want to enjoy some of the best that summer in British Columbia has to offer.

The 2.6-kilometer out-and-back walk leads to a magnificent overlook with views of the mountains, ocean, and beach.

Hiking through a lovely forest is required to reach the overlook.

The trail can be muddy and steep in places, so bring appropriate hiking gear.
But it’s worth getting a little dirty for the view.

If you’re interested in exploring the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, there are numerous paths nearby.

“Lying along the west coast of Vancouver Island in the traditional territories of the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations, Pacific Rim National Park Reserve boasts kilometres of long sandy beaches, unspoiled temperate rainforests, and adventures that will delight the explorer in all,” according to Parks Canada.

If you’re fatigued after a day of hiking and surfing in the area, you can unwind with an afternoon at Tofino Brewing or a taco at Tacofino.
