New Regent Street needs to be on your list of locations to visit if you enjoy shopping. There is no traffic to worry about because it is a nice, scenic pedestrian area. Visit this area for the cafes, gelato, and boutique shopping.

2. New Year’s Eve Fireworks in North Hagley Park
A large crowd gathers in North Hagley Park, Christchurch, for the family-friendly New Year’s Eve party, which begins at 6 a.m. Live music, entertainment, and fireworks are all fantastic there! Dragon, 1 Drop Nation, Sam Heselwood, and the cover band Black & Gold will all perform this year.
To ensure that the little ones (and worn-out elders, of course) don’t miss out on the excitement, there will also be a kid’s countdown for the new year at 8.30 p.m.
3. Christchurch’s biggest NYE party
At Christchurch’s largest NYE party with live performances by the renowned Dragon, celebrate and ring in the New Year!
The greatest New Year’s Eve celebration in Christchurch is back! Australian music legends Dragon will perform at NYE22, with songs including Are You Old Enough, Rain, April Sun in Cuba, and more. Supporting acts include 1 Drop Nation, Amber Williams, and local musician Sam Heselwood.
Before the main concert, NYE22 will begin with interactive family entertainment from Music with Michal as well as a kids’ countdown.
Without a large fireworks display at midnight, it wouldn’t be New Year’s. In the evening, a wide variety of food trucks will be providing delectable goodies.
