This pair of rambunctious lion cubs is desperate for their exhausted mother to join in on their fun.
The children can be seen leaping in the air with each other before jumping onto their mother’s head and even playfully biting her nose in a charming series of photographs.
Usha Harish captured the adorable scene as it unfolded in Nairobi, Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve.
‘It was a cloudy morning, and the lion pride named Enkoynyi was out of the wet bushes in the open because it had rained all night,’ she explained. The cubs were all frolicking around the mother, and it was a beautiful moment to just keep watching them. It was an uplifting experience.
‘I liked how the pictures showed the mother and cubs’ emotional bond. I felt it was universal to note that motherly love is always unconditional, and children, whether animal or human, are always mischievous and playful.’
