And you won’t be let down by the city! According to Holidu’s research, Amsterdam is the tenth-best city in Europe for moviegoers.
1. How Amsterdam obtained the tenth spot
The study used information from Google Maps to examine a number of metrics, including:
- The number of theaters in each city overall
- The total number of movie theaters per city per 10,000 people
- The average movie review score for each city
With 18 total theaters and a top average rating of four out of five stars for the city’s cinemas, Amsterdam comes in at number 10 using these statistics.

2. Top 10 European cities for cinema lovers
Can you determine who came in first? First place goes to Geneva, Switzerland, where movie theaters have an average rating of five out of five stars. With an astounding 77 and 81 theaters, Berlin and Paris are third and sixth, respectively.
